JOHNATHAN OLSON

PIANO, SONGWRITING, THEORY

Johnathan Olson is a working musician in the St. Louis area. After graduating from a performance arts charter school in California, he pursued a music degree at Webster University. He has performed recitals and benefit shows with a classical repertoire, as well as rock gigs with bands at various venues in the Midwest. His ability to improvise and compose has been fundamental in creating original songs in bands as well as writing music for things like podcasts.

Since his time in college, he has also trained many students in piano performance and song writing. He has a personalized philosophy of music that focuses on expression and the development of sensitivity to listening; and a belief that technique and dexterity are tied to personal, artistic growth and confidence.
