Josh Taccolini is a Detroit native who moved to St. Louis with his family in 2020. He studied piano pedagogy at the University of Michigan before completing a Bachelor of Arts degree in piano performance under Brad Blackham at Hillsdale College (Hillsdale, MI), where he performed George Gershwin's Piano Concerto in F Major with the Hillsdale College Symphony Orchestra. He has performed at various Bach Festivals, studio recitals, singer-songwriter open mics, and improvisational jazz numbers for social events. He also holds a doctoral degree in philosophy from Saint Louis University.

Josh has taught piano lessons to students of varying levels and ages in Michigan, Pittsburgh, Pa., and now in St. Louis with Shock City School of Music. He is passionate about supporting students' personal goals while introducing them to the beauty and joy of piano playing. He continues his study of piano technique and pedagogy under the expertise of Taubman-trained piano educator Elizabeth Mueller Grace.
