Julie Altnether is a multi-instrumentalist and music educator from Los Angeles, California. Julie has lived in St. Louis for the last 10 years and has been an active performer, composer, and private music instructor. With 25 years of teaching experience, Julie has taught hundreds of students of all ages and levels in the Los Angeles and St. Louis regions. Julie studied guitar and music composition with notable American musicians Page Hamilton and Bill Killiher, and has also studied guitar performance at Musician's Institute in Hollywood, Calif. She holds a Bachelors of Arts in Education from California State University–Dominguez Hills and a Professional Teaching Credential from the state of Missouri. Julie joined Shock City School of Music in 2024.
