Piano, Organ

​​Born and raised in St. Louis, Tom Finger started playing piano at age 7. Tom is classically trained and received his Bachelors degree in piano performance from University of Missouri Kansas City Conservatory and his Masters of Pedagogy from Webster University. 

With experience of piano performance and 40 years of teaching, including 20 years of pipe organ lessons and playing, Tom takes on a traditional approach with a classical orientation. He enjoys having fun in lessons, keeping things light hearted and goofy, while also focusing on the important attention to detail. 

As well as a love for music and piano playing, Tom is passionate about cycling, and you may even see him ride one of his many bicycles to teach lessons! 

Joining our Shock City School of Music team in 2022, Tom teaches all ages.
